June 21: Volunteer to serve breakfast for the homeless by partnering with DPC’s Fish & Loaves Meal Ministry
The Downtown Presbyterian Church provides breakfast for the homeless every Saturday morning. BPC is providing volunteers for the breakfast on June 21. This is fun, easy and the recipients of your help are extremely grateful. No cooking is required – all of that is done Friday night. You can serve food, coffee, wash dishes, clean up, be a greeter, etc. You have more choices of jobs the sooner you sign up to volunteer. The link is https://signup.com/go/qkwreae. (The last few letters are /go/qkwreae). Call Beth 615.308.8404 if you have trouble signing up to volunteer.
There are sign up spots beginning at both 7:30 am and 8:30 am for those who need a little later start in the morning. 🙂 Volunteers need to be at least 17 years old, or 12 years old with direct adult supervision.
Complimentary parking for volunteers is available in the SP+ Parking garage at 147 4th Ave. North. The entrance is on 4th Avenue. Take a ticket upon entering the garage, and a DPC volunteer will give you a complimentary voucher to use when exiting. Parking tickets can be validated for Saturday mornings in this garage only.
